Do you know lot of nutrients are important for a Baby but DHA is the most important nutrient for a Baby. Omega3 fat makes up 30% of all the Fats for the Brain. Omega 3 (DHA) is 50% of all the fats needed for the Retina. DHA is essential for the development of Brain, the size of Brain and the Function of the Brain.

Infant formulas may not have DHA, without DHA the cognitive function is going to suffer and the IQ will suffer too along with the size of the Brain. Without DHA even vision will be impaired. Baby gets its DHA from Breast Milk, Cod Liver Oil and as the baby is being weaned, you can 1 Yolk a day. Egg Yolk contains some amazing nutrients like Vitamin A,D,E,K, Carotonoids (beta carotene), Zinc, Selenium and other trace minerals. Make sure always get a Organic or a Free range Egg. Do not give egg white till the baby turns 1 year to prevent possible allergies that might develop. It is important to breast feed as long as possible, at least for 6 months and if possible upto 2 years. I have started to eat 1/2 yolk from this week and few drops of cod liver oil in my puree , sometimes i have a full egg yolk but divided in 2 feeds.
